Amanda Gives Back |
Our Goals
Our hope is to reach children/teens and their families who are battling cancer through education, resources and encouragement. It is important to nourish these families by giving mental, emotional, and spiritual support. Our focus is specifically for affected teens that should be having a life filled with friends, school, homework, activities, sports and dances instead of a devastating life changing disease that interferes with normal childhood.
Our main goal for the foundation is to provide the medical facilities that touched Amanda with recreational tools and activities that will help engage and entertain children and teens during their hospitalization as well as adopting pediatric cancer patients and their families and providing them with gifts for Christmas.
This past year we were able to raise enough funds to purchase and donate a popcorn machine to the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Memorial Hospital. This year our goal is to donate a juke box for the pediatric floor of Memorial Hospital (music can play an important role in recovery), to increase the number of families we are able to adopt at the Christmas season, and to donate monies for Osteosarcoma cancer research. |
